The person behind Profound
Bernt Stellander, Founder & Chief Technical Officer
Bernt Stellander, Founder of Profound Golf, an inventor and designer, is a Norwegian born in Graz, Austria. He grew up in northern part of Norway, Tromsø, above the Arctic Circle.
Finding himself intrigued by the game of golf at the age of 34, the former soccer professional developed a keen interest in putters and putting. Recognizing the vital importance of this aspect of the game, he became focused on ways to improve golfers performance.
His background from studies in visual sciences and his passion for geometry and design led him to thinking about putters, and the importance of aiming and alignment. He started developing a totally new approach to clubhead design with a focus on both visual and technical aspects of putters and putting.
